Airspace for the Netherlands

These have come from a variety of different sources, and they are provided "as is". Prudent pilots will, of course, check these values with the contest organizers and - especially - continue to keep their eyes outside the cockpit.   Files to facilitate loading of GPS units and flight computers are also provided; however they have not all been uploaded to the respective manufacturer's hardware and verified.

Here are two nice disclaimers that I came across, and which certainly apply here:

Caveats aside, we hope that this collection will facilitate your flying, and invite you to send along any suggestions, corrections, and new data to John Leibacher ( john.leibacher.wstx@gmail.com ). Fly safely!

    Notes:

    1. Lower limit of Dutch Mil TMA's A, C and E (class B) is raised from FL065 to FL095 from FRI 1700 to MON 0000 LT and during legal holidays (This does not apply to TMZ A, C, D North and E). Be careful: Upper limit of Dutch Mil TMA B and lower limit of Dutch Mil TMA D class B is always FL065.
    2. Some parts of Dutch airspace in this file have several classifications, the more restrictive of the classifications in such cases shall be used.
    3. Operating hours of controlled military aerodromes, designated MIL CTR and MIL TMA, are MON-FRI 0800-1645 excl. legal holidays. Check NOTAM's for up-to-date operating hours. Outside these hours contact Dutch Mil INFO on frequency 132.3500 before entering class C/D airspace.
    4. In order to protect certain kinds of air traffic or special air activities temporary Restricted Areas can be established. Refer to AIP or charts and NOTAM's for procedures, dimensions and locations.
    5. Refer to NOTAM's for activation of Restricted and Danger area's and changes in vertical limits.
    6. Temporary Reserved Airspace (TRA), Temporary Segregated Area (TSA), Cross Border Area's (CBA), EHD 41 EHD 42, EHR 4E, RMZ North Sea (119.175 and 136.650), MIL CIV Low Flying Area's (GLV), Civil Simulated Forced Landing AreaÕs, EHRÕs activated by NOTAM only and EHRÕs for Memorial Services are not included in this file.
    7. This file includes Gliding and VFR Area's. Contact local clubs for info about activation, procedures and limitations.
    8. Transition Altitude in Amsterdam FIR is 3500 MSL for VFR traffic.
    9. This file includes civil and military Aerodrome Traffic Zones (ATZ) as dangerous areas. In general ATZ's are established to protect local air traffic. Overflying aircraft are strongly recommended to stay clear of the ATZ
    10. All references to time in this file are local times
The following Transponder Mandatory Zones (TMZ) are always active:

      TMZ Eelde: 1500 ft - FL 065
      TMZ Maastricht: 1500 ft - FL 195
      TMZ A: FL 065 - FL 195
      TMZ C: FL 065 - FL 195
      TMZ D: 2500 ft - FL 195
      TMZ E: FL 065 - FL 095
      TMZ Rotterdam: 2500 ft - FL 055

The following Transponder Mandatory Zones (TMZ) are active on weekdays from 09:00 until 17:00 local time, excl. holidays:

    TMZ Eelde: 1200 ft - FL 065
    TMZ Maastricht: 1200 ft - FL 195
    TMZ A: 1200 ft - FL 195
    TMZ B: 1200 ft - FL 065
    TMZ C: 1200 ft - FL 195
    TMZ D: 1200 ft - FL 195
    TMZ E: 1200 ft - FL 095
    TMZ G1: 1200 ft - FL 055
    TMZ Rotterdam: 1200 ft - FL 055

Lower limit of Dutch Mil TMA's A, C and E Class B is raised from FL065 to FL095 from FRI 1700 to MON 0000 LT and during legal holidays. However, this does not apply to TMZ A, C, D North and E. As a result gliding above FL 065 in EHAA FIR is not possible during both weekdays, weekends and legal holidays without mode S transponder.

Be careful: Upper limit of Dutch Mil TMA B is always FL065, airspace above Dutch Mil TMA B is Amsterdam CTA East class A!

If a transponder is carried it should also be activated outside TMZs.
