The Junior Team selection Competition Fractional Score (CFS) for a year is based upon a "pseudo-nationals" consisting of the best performance in all of the US National Soaring Championships for the year. Only scores equal to at least 60% of the USNSC winner's score contribute. Clicking on the contribution for a year will take you to the USNSC that yielded the score.
According to the FAI Sporting Code Section 3, Chapter 7, 8.2.b, the Juniors' championships "are open to pilots whose 25th birthday occurs in the calendar year (1 January to 31 December) which includes the date of the start of the championships, or occurs later."
Complete information about the Junior Team is available at the Official US Junior Team WWW Site
Unofficial relative scores for the mathematically possible Junior Class contenders to win the place on the US Team in 2003 are available.
