The WinPilot® software runs on a WindowsCE® palm computer with a touch sensitive display, to provide a moving map representation of waypoints and special use airspace [ e.g. restricted areas ], as well as task setting, and final glide information.

It can import the "CAI formatted" waypoint files, which all have the extension DAT.

The OpenAir® format is used to describe special use airspace, and it is described at http://www.winpilot.com/UsersGuide/UserAirspace.asp
