Installing the EUROSPACE V1.2 program

New Users ( first installation )

  1. Make sure that you do not have a directory (folder) called c:\eurospace on your computer. (The installer will overwrite files in that directory).

  2. Run the eurospace_install.exe file. This is a self-extracting winzip file. When the winzip dialog opens, double click on the button. Do NOT change the directory name to which the files will be unzipped.

  3. The required files should be unzipped into the following directory structure:
      c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.cnt
      c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.exe
      c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.hlp
      c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.ini
      c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace_map.exe

      c:\eurospace\DAFIF\BDRY.TXT
      c:\eurospace\DAFIF\BDRY_PAR.TXT
      c:\eurospace\DAFIF\SUAS.TXT
      c:\eurospace\DAFIF\SUAS_PAR.TXT

      c:\eurospace\output\airspace.sua

    (The airspace.sua output file is a sample, but the rest of the files are required) If for some reason the files extract to directories other than shown above, move them to the above directory structure before running the program.

  4. This directory structure can be changed by following the instructions in the EUROSPACE program help file.

  5. The DAFIF files included in this distribution are dated 4/16/02

Running the airspace Program

  1. In Windows Explorer double-click on c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.exe

    OR

  2. On your desktop click on and enter (or browse to) c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.exe

    OR

  3. Create a new shortcut on your desktop with c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace.exe as its target.

Running the eurospace_map Program

  1. Run the EUROSPACE program as instructed above, and click on the button,

    OR

  2. In Windows Explorer double-click on c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace_map.exe

    OR

  3. On your desktop click on and enter (or browse to) c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace_map.exe

    OR

  4. Create a new shortcut on your desktop with c:\eurospace\bin\eurospace_map.exe as its target.
