The Henry Combs Perpetual Trophy is awarded annually to the person or
persons completing the greated number of straight-out diamond distance
glider flights in each of three zones. It was founded on
April 15, 1995 to honor Henry Combs, who in 1998 completed his 200th
straight-out diamond flight. The trophy became an
SSA-recognized national award in 2000.
